FAQs

We've answered some common questions below, but if you have other questions, please reach out!

How far can Bar Truck PDX travel?

Pretty much anywhere you need us!

We’ve served events all over Oregon—from Southern Oregon, The Gorge, Eastern Oregon, SW Washington and all of Portland Metro and the surrounding areas. and everywhere in between.

Travel and destination fees may apply for events outside the Portland metro area.

Do you provide the alcohol?

Yes—depending on where your event is located.

Oregon events: We can provide a full, all-inclusive bar experience, including alcohol. You’re also welcome to provide your own alcohol (often referred to as a dry hire).

Washington events: Due to state laws, we are not able to provide alcohol in Washington. However, we can still provide full bar service if you supply the alcohol.

No matter which option you choose, we’ll guide you through the process and can help you source everything needed to keep it simple and stress-free.

Can you help us create custom cocktails?

Absolutely.

Custom cocktails are one of our favorite parts of what we do. We’ll work with you to create a menu that fits your style, your guests, and the vibe of your event.

Can you supply non-alcoholic beverages and mocktails?

Yes! Signature mocktails are a specialty!  We love creating thoughtful non-alcoholic options so every guest feels included in the full-service experience.

We can create signature mocktails, and every quote also includes essentials like fresh juices, lemonade, soda water, tonic, and soft drinks.

How much space do you need?

Once we’re parked and fully set up, our footprint is approximately 24' long by 18' wide—but we’re very used to tight spaces and unique layouts.

You can view real examples of past setups in our gallery here

Pippa the Piaggio requires ____x ____ space for set up, and can fit through a commercial double door, making her a flexible, elevated option.

Are you insured?

Yes. We carry Vehicle Liability, Commercial General Liability and Liquor Liability insurance.

Depending on your venue and event type, you may also be required to carry your own event insurance—so we recommend checking with your venue or coordinator.  We are happy to provide certificates of insurance to your venue – just ask!

Do we need to supply power for Bar Truck PDX?

Bar Truck can plug into a standard 110v household outlet.

For venues and off-grid locations without power access, we also have an onboard solar generator to keep everything running smoothly (and your drinks perfectly cold).

How much does it cost?

Because every event is customized, pricing depends on your guest count, menu, location, and service needs. Once we learn a bit about your event, we’ll provide a clear, detailed quote.

We’re proud to work with local breweries, wineries, and distilleries, and we prioritize fresh, seasonal ingredients for garnishes and cocktails—because quality matters.  We make all purées and syrups in-house, and all juices are fresh-squeezed, every time.  Quality matters.

We are really proud of our wine list and vineyard relationships, and we are constantly working to establish new relationships with area vineyards and brewers.

Factors that impact pricing include:

  • Guest count

  • Beer & wine only vs. cocktails included

  • Mocktails and other non-alcoholic options

  • Distance/travel

We will work with you to create a bar package to meet your budget.

As a general range, most private events start around $2,395, and most corporate events fall in the $6,000–$8,000 range.

A $1,000 deposit is required to reserve your date, with the remaining balance due in staggered payments prior to the event.

What year is your truck?

One of the most common questions we hear at events—and we never get tired of answering it!

Our fleet includes two beautifully restored vintage trucks, each offering a distinct look and experience:

The Red Truck is a 1951 Ford F-5, fully restored and retrofitted with a professional tap system and commercial-grade refrigeration.

The White Truck is a 1951 Chevy, a striking classic with a clean, elegant aesthetic that photographs beautifully and adds a timeless presence to any event.

Not sure which truck is right for your event? We’ll help you choose based on your venue, guest count, and the overall look and vibe you want to create.

Both trucks are paired with custom stand-alone bars, allowing us to tailor the layout to your space and service needs.

Our bar fronts can be customized for each event, creating a cohesive look—whether you’re hosting a wedding, corporate gathering, or private celebration.

Together, they deliver a polished, high-end bar experience with a truly unforgettable vintage vibe.
